Orders And Shipping

Buy from your cart or a piece's public page, use a promo code, follow your orders, download invoices and certificates, and manage your shipping addresses.

Buying From Your Cart

  • In Art Board, choose Add to Cart on a piece. You need to be signed in. Your cart is saved to your account, so it is the same on every device.
  • Open Your Cart, select the pieces you want, and choose Proceed to Checkout.
  • Pick a shipping address, or choose Add New Address. Then choose Calculate Shipping.
  • Check the Subtotal, the shipping for each artist and the Total, enter your card, and pay.

Each artist ships from their own address, so shipping is quoted per artist. If live rates can't be reached, shipping is marked as estimated, and the charge matches the total shown.

Checkout stops if a piece is no longer for sale, is listed at auction, or if your cart mixes currencies. It also stops if an artist hasn't set a Ship From address; remove their pieces or try again later.

Buying Without An Account

A piece for sale has a public page you can buy from without signing in. Under Buy This Work, enter your Email, Ship to Country, Postal Code and City, then choose Continue to Payment. You enter your street address and pay on Stripe's secure page, where Apple Pay and Google Pay also work.

Yeja creates an account with your email and sends you a link to follow your order. If that email already has an account, log in and buy from your cart instead.

Promo Codes

An artist can give you a promo code for their work. On the piece's public page, open Have a Promo Code? under Buy This Work and enter it. The discount comes off the price of the piece, not the shipping.

  • A code works only on that artist's work.
  • A code can have an end date or a limited number of uses. If it has expired or been used up, you can still buy at the listed price.
  • While the payment page is open, your use of a limited code is held for one hour.
  • Promo codes can't be entered in the cart.

Following Your Orders

Open the Account Hub and choose Orders to see Your Orders: every purchase, newest first, with its amount and status. Statuses update live while the page is open.

  • Pending: reserved, but not fully paid. An offer paid in installments stays Pending until its last payment.
  • Paid, Packed, Shipped and Completed: the seller moves the order along as they prepare and send it.
  • Refund Pending and Refunded: see Refunds And Disputes.
  • Canceled: the order was closed before it was paid.

Open an order to see its status timeline, the Subtotal, Shipping and Total. Choose Download Invoice for a PDF invoice, or Download Certificate of Authenticity once the order has a certificate. Yeja issues a certificate when a piece is paid in full.

Shipping Your Sales

If you sell, open Orders in My Studio to see the Outbound Ledger: your Art Board sales, each buyer's ship-to address and each order's status. Move an order forward one step at a time, from Paid to Packed, then Shipped, then Completed. The buyer sees each change in Your Orders.

Your Addresses

Open the Account Hub and choose Addresses.

  • Ship To Addresses are where your purchases are sent. Choose Add Address, fill in the fields, tick Set as default if you want, and choose Save Address. An address you add at checkout appears here too.
  • Ship From Addresses are where your own sales ship from. You need one to sell on Art Board, because shipping costs are calculated from it.

Common Questions

Where can I see what I bought?

In Your Orders, under Orders in the Account Hub. Wallet Activity also lists purchases, with a receipt for each.

Why can't I check out my cart?

A piece may have sold, left sale or gone to auction, your cart may mix currencies, or an artist may not have set a Ship From address. Remove those pieces and try again.

Why is my shipping marked as estimated?

Live shipping rates couldn't be reached for one or more artists, so an estimate was used. You are charged the total shown.

Do I need an account to buy?

No. On a piece's public page, Buy This Work creates an account with your email when you pay.

Where do I enter a promo code?

On the piece's public page, under Have a Promo Code? in Buy This Work. Codes can't be used in the cart.

Where do I find my certificate of authenticity?

Open the order in Your Orders and choose Download Certificate of Authenticity. It appears once the piece is paid in full.

Who updates my order's shipping status?

The seller does, as they pack and ship your piece. You see each change in Your Orders.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes. Open the order in Your Orders and choose Download Invoice for a PDF.
