Connecting

Social

Connect your accounts, write and schedule posts about your work, and see which posts brought clicks, inquiries and sales.

What Social Does

Social helps you sell your work by posting about it. It has three tabs: Sell, Posts and Settings. Every post about a work carries a trackable Yeja link, so Social can show which posts brought clicks, inquiries and sales.

  • Sell shows what to post about today, what your posts have sold, and your Drops.
  • Posts holds everything you have written or scheduled. Switch between List and Month to see it as a list or a calendar.
  • Settings holds your connected accounts, your link in bio, Posting Times and Promoters and Promo Codes.

If Social shows a lock in the sidebar, its tooltip says what unlocks it. For artists, that is publishing your Atelier and a few works; the tooltip shows how many are left.

Connecting Your Accounts

Open Settings. Under Where Your Posts Go, each platform shows its status. Choose Connect and follow the steps. Before you sign in on the platform, Yeja shows what you need and what it will and won’t do with the account.

  • Instagram needs a Professional account (Business or Creator). Facebook posts as a Page you manage, never as your personal profile. Pinterest needs a Business account and at least one board. LinkedIn posts to your personal profile; company pages aren’t supported yet. Threads uses the Instagram account it belongs to.
  • Use Choose Board on Pinterest or Choose Page on Facebook to pick where posts go.
  • X, TikTok and YouTube can’t be posted to from Yeja directly. Use Post It Yourself for them.
  • A platform marked Awaiting Platform Approval can’t be connected yet. Post to it from your phone in the meantime.
  • If a connection expires, choose Reconnect. If you Disconnect an account, scheduled posts that used it become drafts so you can choose where they go.

Writing And Scheduling A Post

  • Choose Create Post in Posts, or Write Post next to a work on Sell. Pick a work under Pick a Work to Share (works with a price come first), or choose Post Without a Work.
  • Write your text, or tap one of the suggested captions. A link to the work is added for you.
  • Under Post To, pick your connected accounts. Platforms you haven’t connected appear as “from your phone”.
  • Open More Options to give one network its own text or Image Frame, or to add a First Comment on Instagram. Your work is fitted inside the frame, never cropped.
  • Choose Post Now, Best Time, or Pick a Time and then Schedule. Or choose Save Draft to finish later.

A scheduled post goes out within the hour after the time you pick, in your own time zone. A post scheduled for a day without a time goes out at 9 AM your time. In Settings, choose Posting Slots to set the days and times you like to post; Best Time then offers the next free one, or a good day and hour if you have no slots.

Each network’s character limit is counted as you type, including the link. Text that runs over is shortened when the post goes out. Instagram and Pinterest posts need a work attached.

Managing Your Posts

  • In List, drafts come first, then posts grouped by day. Each card shows its status and, once published, the likes and comments from connected platforms, refreshed daily.
  • Edit reopens a post in the composer. Delete removes it for good.
  • Share Now publishes a post right away to its connected accounts.
  • If a post fails on some accounts, open its delivery results to see Succeeded or Failed and the reason for each account.
  • In Month, drag a post to another day to move it, or choose a day to start a new post on it.
  • Post It Yourself gives you the caption with your trackable link and an image sized for each platform. After you post, choose Mark As Posted, and add the link to your post if you like.

When you post to a platform from your phone, Yeja shows the caption and image to share or copy. Choose I Posted It when you’re done.

Selling Through Your Posts

Every post about a work carries a trackable Yeja link. When someone clicks it, sends you an inquiry or buys, the post gets the credit. This works on every platform, including posts you publish by hand.

  • Moments to Post lists things worth posting about now: one of your auctions ending within two days, a price drop, a new work, or a sale from the last two weeks.
  • Needs Attention lists works you are selling that haven’t been posted about in the last 60 days, oldest first. Choose Write Post for one post, or Plan a Series for several.
  • Plan a Series offers Slow Reveal, Drop Runway and Re-Surface. Pick the first day and where the posts go, choose Write the Posts, edit them, then choose Approve All. Each post goes out at 9 AM your time on its day. With no connected accounts, they’re saved as dated drafts. Nothing is posted until you approve.
  • When a work sells, its scheduled posts go back to drafts with a note, and its series ends.
  • Results shows Sales From Your Posts, Link Clicks (bots excluded), Inquiries and Sales, then What Worked and the Shares you made, by network.

Your Link in Bio, in Settings, is a page that lists the works you posted, each linked so a sale is credited to the post. Put it in your Instagram or TikTok bio. Edit Bio opens your Artist Statement, which shows on that page once you publish it.

If you post about another artist’s work for a reward, a swap or a fee, “#ad” is added when the post goes out.

Drops

A drop is a dated release of one or more of your works. On Sell, choose Create Drop. Give it a Title, a Description, a Drops at time and an optional end time, pick the works, then choose Create Drop again to save it. Each drop shows how many people are on its waitlist. Use Share to share it (the link opens your public Atelier), Edit while it’s a draft or scheduled, or Cancel. Canceling a drop doesn’t notify its waitlist.

Promoters And Messages

Promoters and Promo Codes, in Settings, is where you run a promoter program and make promo codes; see Promo Network. Where Customers Message You connects WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram DMs so messages land in your Inquiries inbox, and sets the Message Me Button on your Atelier; see Messages. To share a work, an auction or your Atelier anywhere, see Share.

Common Questions

Can Yeja post to X, TikTok or YouTube for me?

Not yet. Those platforms don’t let Yeja publish for you right now. Use Post It Yourself: you get the caption with your trackable link and a correctly sized image to post there yourself.

When does a scheduled post go out?

Within the hour after the time you picked, in your own time zone. If you picked a day without a time, it goes out at 9 AM your time.

What happens to my scheduled posts when a work sells?

They go back to drafts with a note saying the work sold, so nothing keeps advertising a sold piece. Any series for that work ends.

Why did my post fail on one account?

Open the post in Posts and expand its delivery results. Each account shows Succeeded or Failed with the reason. If the connection expired, choose Reconnect in Settings.

What happens to my scheduled posts if I disconnect an account?

Posts scheduled for that account become drafts, so you can choose where they go instead.

How does Social know a post sold something?

Each post about a work carries a trackable Yeja link. Clicks, inquiries and paid orders that come through that link are credited to the post, whether Yeja published it or you posted it yourself.

Why does my Instagram post need a work attached?

Instagram and Pinterest only take posts with an image. Attach a work, or post to other networks without one.

Is there a limit on image posts?

Yes, there is a daily limit on image posts. A post that reaches it is retried later, or you can use Post It Yourself.
